This past October, Pastor Jason Hoerth, Deaconess Intern Julia Witt, Paul & Soozie Tomes went on a Thirst Mission Trip to extend the Hands and Hearts of Christ to people in the Appalachia region of Kentucky. They were able to serve as the hands of Christ to a new family in one of the most impoverished counties in the entire United States. They also assisted the Host Catholic parish in some of its needs. Holy Cross Catholic Church is a Beacon of Love and Assistance to all of those in the surrounding areas who desperately need a hand and hope. While they were there, they even found time to Fellowship and spread Love & Joy to a local Children’s Church group who regularly meet to bring the Gospel of Christ into the Minds, Hands, Hearts, & Mouths of local children. As well as a local Senior Assisted Living center. All 4 of them left with Heavy, but Full hearts; with the Joy and Love they were able to share with everyone they came across.
