(Jonah, Jonah 2:9b – last part of the verse only)
Raccoons are very good at making messes.
They dig around in the trash looking for things to eat, but then trash gets everywhere!
Because of our sin, we make messes all the time, and we are in big trouble!
On Day 1 our craft for the campers tied directly into the Bible Story they had learned about that day.
Monday, they got to make some adorable whales (fish), which Jonah was swallowed up by!
Thank you to our lovely assistants who helped all the campers who needed assistance!

themselves from other animals that would hurt them.
The other animal thinks the possum is dead and leaves it alone.
But when the predator goes away, the possum wakes up.
It looks like the possum has come back to life!
It has new life because the predator has left it alone.
Jesus didn’t just look like He was dead – He really was dead! But He came back to life.
We are dead because of our sin, but because of Jesus, we have new life.
Jesus paid the ultimate sacrifice for all of our sin; because he Loves us that much.

(Pentecost, Acts 2:21b)
The light does two things: it warns away predators, and it attracts other fireflies.
We have the Holy Spirit who helps us stay away from sin and temptation;
He protects us from others who want to lead us away from God.
And the Holy Spirit helps us to glow brightly in a world that is dark with sin and bring
other people close so that we can tell them about God.
On day 3 our craft may have been the campers favorite.
The joy on their faces while they wore the Holy Spirit on their heads.
Beaming with joy and happiness, glowing in the light of the Holy Spirit!

The dam helps to protect the beavers from predators, and is
also a safe place to store their food during the winter.
The dams don’t just help the beavers, it creates a small pond that
helps the environment (and other animals and people!) in many ways.
We should be as “busy as beavers” and find ways to help others
with food, safety, or whatever they need.
On day 4 our craft tied into Jesus calling us all to be his Hands & Feet in his absence, until he returns.
To serve others, as he served us even in his final hours; especially our neighbors.
Camp opens daily with all Campers in for a fun skit about the daily lesson, songs & Worship.
Closing was another chance to meet back up to recap as well as fellowship & Worship.
There were a few favorite ‘Campfire songs’ that were loved by all!

Daily all campers get to get cozy by the story-time fire, and learn that days Bible Lesson.
While being whisked away to scenes of the past, though story, campers get the chance to
soak in all of God’s word to learn valuable lessons, and the most important thing…
How much God truly loves us, and to what ends he will go for us in that love.
The story of Pentecost.. and The Good Samaritan.

As camp wound down for a close daily, all of the groups would head out to sit around a campfire
and discuss what the day had brought for them… while they enjoyed some snacks.

What would camp be, without some classic and even new games to campers!?
From pool noodle tag to kickball, Duck-Duck-Goose to Water Balloon fights,

Throughout the week, our Den full of Cub Campers got to learn all about each daily lesson,
and craft on their levels. To make new friends, learn the Bible Stories, as well as be creative

Without you, none of this could have been possible.
The campers were blessed with the out-pouring of Love and Service
that they all received this week in His name!
