Three Purposes of Scripture
John 20:31 -But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

2Timothy 3:16-17 -All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Romans 15:4 -For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
